THE CROSS BUCKET BEET CHOPPER

Cross Agricultural Engineering manufacture a range of Beet choppers for the biogas, sugar and farming industry. The beet choppers range in capacity from 30 tonnes per hour to 200 tonnes per hour. All Cross Bucket Choppers are fitted with stone release as standard.

Designed in Ireland this chopper is able to withstand the toughest of beet conditions and will always provide an accurate chop to suit the operator’s needs. All Bucket choppers use a rotor style chopper similar to our beet washers and stationary choppers. This give the customer a consistent chop size and eliminates the possibility of large lumps in the sample.

THE CROSS BEET BUCKET XL  RANGE

The Cross range of XL Beet Choppers is designed for operators with large telehandlers or loading shovels. This model has a centre chopping rotor which allows the operator to chop over a diet feeder wagon at a faster rate than the farmer model.
The centre rotor has a very fine chop size allowing the feed sample to be consistent without the risk of larger lumps getting through. This Chopper is also fitted with hydraulic stone release. When a stone blocks the chopper, the operator can reverse the rotor which in turn opens the door and releases the stone. We do not fit a spring loaded stone release to this as most operators do not want the stone to release into the feeder wagon when chopping. This system allows the operator to move away from the feeder wagon, release the stone and start chopping again.
The system uses a rotor style chopper to ensure a small chop size which eliminates the risk of animal choking.

THE CROSS BEET BUCKET FARMER RANGE

The Cross range of FARMER Beet Buckets can be both loader or 3 point linkage mounted. Smaller than the XL model, this chopper can be fitted to most tractor loaders or telehandlers. Some smaller tractor operators prefer to mount these choppers on the rear linkage to increase stability.
This chopper uses a side exit rotor to allow operators chop along the cattle feed trough. The system also uses a rotor style chopper to ensure a small chop size which eliminates the risk of animal choking.
An automatic stone release is included in this machine. By simply reversing the rotor, the stone is ejected from the machine. This machine can also be used to chop into diet feeders but has a lower output than the XL model.

Stone Protection

The Cross FARMER Bucket Beet Chopper has been designed with a moving spring chopper door. This allows small stones to pass through without damaging the rotor.

Larger stones will jam the rotor with an onboard hydraulic protection system. Once this happens the rotor can be reverses and the unique stone safety system will eject the stone from the machine through another area of the machine.

Side Rotor

Ensuring beet out of path of wheels

The Farmer Bucket Chopper system integrates the rotor to the side of the bucket, ensuring that the chopped beet is safely deposited to the side and not driven over. An auger at the back of the bucket ensures beet is funneled towards this chopper and that it is chopped in a rapid manner.

Chop Size

Variable in size

Cross Beet Choppers all come with a variable chop size option. This allows the operator to select the desired chop size using simple tools.

Bucket Size

All Cross Bucket Choppers come in a wide range of sizes. This allows for easier filling and large hopper capacities.

All choppers vary in width as standard. The chopper should be specified to suit your track width on the vehicle. The distance between the sides is what determines the chopper to suit your vehicle.

Ease of Use

Streamlining the process

The Bucket Chopper allows operators to scoop and chop in one item, removing the previous need to use a stationary chopper. This makes it useful in streamlining the process in applications such as animal feeding, biogas installations, and waste processing.
